Maureen and Cliff Currie

Maureen and Cliff Currie, natives of Belfast, Northern Ireland, emigrated to the U.S., by way of Canada, arriving in the United States in 1957. They came to Columbus in 1963. They have three daughters, in Los Angeles, Noblesville and Hope. They also have three grandsons, a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

Clifford is a marine engineer/naval architect and worked for Cummins' International Division. After graduation from college, Cliff joined the British Royal Navy during World War II, and was commissioned as an engineering officer.

Maureen is a homemaker and inherited the joy of sewing from her father, who was a master tailor and owned a clothing factory in Belfast. She helped found the Cosmopolitan Club in Columbus.

The Curries have visited Ireland many times over the years, and see enormous changes. However, the weather hasn't improved, and they advise anyone visiting there to bring warm clothes and a raincoat. Don't be afraid to go to Northern Ireland, they say. It is quite safe, and a beautiful part of Ireland.
